We have been asked by a number of users of Power Music Professional or Essentials "What is the easiest way to clear all songs and start with a fresh database in Power Music". This is usually when they have just started using Power Music for the first time and have "messed up" importing their first batch of songs.
Close Power Music if it is running.
1. Complete restart
If you want to completely remove all songs and start with a fresh database, simply go to:
and delete the folder PowerMusic5.
This will clear everything and start again with the 3 sample songs.
2. Restart and recover some songs
Alternatively, if you want to recover some of the songs you have already entered, do the following:
Go to Documents/Cambron Software
Rename the PowerMusic5 folder to PowerMusic5old (or some other name!)
Restart Power Music
You will be back to the 3 sample songs.
To recover any old songs:
In Power Music go to File/Import from another source
Browse to the PowerMusic5old folder, open it and click on the file PM5jubaldb.vdb5
You can then select to import back into Power Music any of the songs.
